folks. i just upgraded the site using drupal's latest 4.7.0 release candidate 3.

there has been a few bugs which i have sought support from the drupal forum. however, if you find more - pls let me know. also not all the features available in the previous version has been carried over. so pls take note.

in the meantime, pls give me feedback on how you like the new design.

I have now shifted to the final release 4.7.0. So far things are looking okay with some minor niggles here and there. let me have your feedback if there are major problems.

Like the new design, and seems more stable. Have my userid info on file when I get to this page now.

thanks. that's great. i just upgraded the script. yeah, the upgrade works better, although there are a few functions / features that were left out (or community contributed modules have yet to catch up).

I am tinkering with the design yet again.

I am trying to get a design that -

• looks clean with whitespace to avoid looking crowded
• reflects much of the subject matter
• is easy to navigate
• looks fresh

I've managed to put together a design which I am moderately happy with and I call it SkyBlue.

the next thing that I'd like to do is to separate the admin page from the current design. also to take away the admin & setting menus away from the main menu, in order to reduce load time.

unfortunately, been incredibly busy of late so I've had very little time to sort things out.

finally. managed to get this done.

finally upgraded the site to using drupal 5.

took some time to get things working alright. seems to be ok now, but please do give feedback if something is not working well.

were you the one designing the new upper pix in your blog?

yup. took a bit of inspiration & work to do it. your finance people collage gave me an idea. just took it from there.

i call this the "fazzbavaria" theme.

thanks. yes, i use photoshop. it took a while to get to this. i had several tries before and none looked good. in the end, i decided to (i) limit number of colours; (ii) create white borders - to differentiate pictures; (iii) limit the range of picture types; (iv) create a backdrop - (the b&w pictures of karting) that ties all together... colour needs to be right; and (v) reduce detail in some pictures.

i recently managed to update to drupal 6 (finally). had been holding out for two years as i when i tested "6" initially it required more resources than my webhost was giving. then it was ok for the webhost but a few modules remained unavailable. http://www.thefazz.com/me/node/771

only now, i feel the time is right.

i also took the opportunity to change the theme - to adaptivetheme.

hopefully, that it is all ok now.

pls let me know if there are bugs.

i am using the nitobe theme right now. i like its simplicity, clean and minimalist design. however, there seems to be a small problem with the javascript effects on collapsible block and active menus.

i aim to work on adding more regions.

do give your feedback on this.

i changed this site's theme to "the morning after - prosepoint".

it is a minimalist design. let me know if you like it. it has more flexibility compared to nitobe. but with lesser consistency. nitobe seemed to be more consistent, design-wise.
